One of my favorite things about what I do is the opportunity to travel and seek out images that compel me to create visual stories about them. My appreciation for nature and the proximity of the many amazing places close by to where I live has allowed me to explore many diverse rural environments. These trips often start out as a kind of "scouting" mission. Often it will take me many repeat visits to find my subject and then observe it in different nuances, light and times of day, waiting for the actual image to mirror what I want to create. It can be incredibly time consuming but I really enjoy these excursions and have been rewarded with some truly memorable moments.
